SPECIALTY CARE • SHREE SPECIALTY CLINICS

Women's health is not one chapter. It's a lifetime.

From adolescence through post-menopause: preventive screenings, menstrual irregularities, PCOS, fibroids, and wellness guidance.

From your first period to reproductive years, pregnancy, postpartum recovery and menopause, every stage asks different questions and needs different care. At Shree, that care is built to change with you — not repeat the same advice at every age.

CARE CONTINUUM

Your Care Journey at Shree

Structured stages tailored to where you are right now.

1

Adolescence

Periods that are irregular, unusually painful, or accompanied by other hormonal changes are common in the teenage years but “common” doesn't always mean “fine to ignore.” Early evaluation helps separate what will settle on its own from what needs attention now.

2

Reproductive years

This is the stage where PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and other menstrual or fertility concerns most often surface. Evaluation and management are built around your specific findings and goals including whether you're planning a pregnancy now or later.

3

Preconception

Before you try to conceive, it's worth reviewing existing health conditions, medications and modifiable risk factors a short conversation that can prevent a much longer one later.

4

Pregnancy

Specialist obstetric care, screening, monitoring and a birth plan built around your specific pregnancy — see the Pregnancy & Obstetrics page for the full journey.

5

Postpartum

Recovery doesn't end when the baby arrives. Physical recovery, breastfeeding concerns, emotional wellbeing and ongoing women's health all continue to need attention in the months after delivery.

6

Perimenopause & menopause

Symptoms, health risks and long-term wellbeing through the menopausal transition are managed with a personalised plan — not a one-size-fits-all prescription.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Gynaecological care

The right treatment depends on the diagnosis, symptoms, age, reproductive goals and overall health — it may mean observation and follow-up, medication, lifestyle measures, further evaluation, or surgery when that's genuinely indicated.

DECISION GUIDE

When Should You Seek Specialist Guidance?

Signals that merit an unhurried, personalized clinical evaluation.

If your periods have changed significantly, get evaluated rather than assuming it's normal.

If pain repeatedly interferes with work, relationships, sleep or daily activities, discuss it with a gynaecologist.

If you have PCOS and are planning a pregnancy, fertility counselling can help you understand your options early.

If you're approaching menopause and symptoms are affecting your quality of life, personalised management can help.

If you're unsure whether a symptom needs specialist care, start with a consultation rather than self-diagnosing.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our Women's Health consultations and care.

When should I see a gynaecologist?

Any time your periods change significantly, you have pain that disrupts daily life, or you simply want a health check you don't need to wait for a problem to become severe before seeing a specialist.

Are irregular periods always due to PCOS?

No. PCOS is a common cause, but thyroid disorders, stress, significant weight change and other hormonal conditions can also disrupt cycles. An evaluation is what tells the difference.

Can PCOS affect fertility?

It can, mainly by disrupting ovulation. Many women with PCOS still conceive naturally or with straightforward treatment the right first step is assessment, not assumption.

When should painful periods be investigated?

When the pain is severe enough to affect work, sleep or daily activity, or has changed noticeably from what's normal for you. It can be a sign of endometriosis or fibroids, both very manageable once identified.

What are common symptoms of endometriosis?

Persistent pelvic pain, pain during periods or intercourse, and in some cases difficulty conceiving. Symptoms vary widely, which is why it often goes undiagnosed for years.

When does a fibroid need treatment?

Only when it's causing symptoms heavy bleeding, pain, pressure, or affecting fertility — or when its size and position make monitoring the less clear choice. Many fibroids simply need periodic review.

Are ovarian cysts always dangerous?

No. Most ovarian cysts are harmless and resolve on their own. Evaluation is about identifying the small number that need monitoring or treatment, not alarming you over a normal finding.

When should I start cervical cancer screening?

This depends on your age and history and should be confirmed at a consultation — but the short answer is: earlier than most women assume, and on a schedule, not only when something feels wrong.

What should a well-woman check-up include?

A general health review, a gynaecological examination, cervical and breast screening as appropriate, and a conversation about anything you've been putting off asking. It's designed to catch things before they become symptoms.

When should I seek help for menopause symptoms?

As soon as they're affecting your sleep, mood, daily comfort or long-term health risk. Menopause management is most effective when started early, not once symptoms have been endured for years.
