In South Asian and Indian populations, metabolic risk (including visceral adiposity, insulin resistance, and cardiovascular disease) manifests at lower BMI thresholds than Western populations. Shree incorporates the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (India) and WHO Asian-Indian cutoffs.
Formula & Clinical Methodology
BMI = Weight (kg) / [Height (m)]². Asian-Indian cutoffs: Underweight (<18.5), Normal / Healthy (18.5 – 22.9), Overweight (23.0 – 24.9), Obese (≥25.0 kg/m²).
